Resolutions

The deadline for acceptance of resolutions to the Policy Convention is Thursday, September 27 at 9:00 am. For your information, any resolutions received after the above deadline will not be included in the Convention kit, and will not reach the Convention floor until after all timely resolutions have been dealt with.

The Federation’s constitution specifies that at our Policy Conventions only resolutions dealing specifically with the policy areas established for this year will be put on the order of business unless the resolution is of an emergent nature. The Convention will also receive and consider emergency resolutions and those relating to other business that cannot be deferred until the Constitutional Convention in 2008. With that in mind, please ensure your resolutions address this year’s policy areas and are submitted sixty (60) days prior to Convention.

Resolutions submitted in compliance with the requirements of the Constitution shall be made available to affiliates here on our website not less than 14 days prior to the opening of the Convention.
