Convention 2009
Confronting the Crisis: An Economy that Really Works for BC
As required by Article IV of our Constitution, this is notice of our regular 2009 Policy Convention, the Fifty-Third Convention in our history as a modern Federation.
The Fifty-Third Convention will be called into session at 9:30 am, Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre in Vancouver, BC, and finish on Wednesday, November 25, 2009.

Delegate Information

It also contains information about the New Delegate Seminar for first time attenders at 8.30am on Monday, 23 November.
Representation
Local unions, branches and lodges are entitled to one delegate for the first one hundred (or less) members and an additional delegate for each additional 150 members, or major fraction of 150.
For the purpose of calculating delegate entitlements, the number of members is based on the average per capita payment made in the 12-month period from September to August preceding the start of the Convention.
Labour Councils are entitled to register a maximum of 3 delegates.
Registration
The delegate registration fee is $150.00 per delegate. This fee must accompany the Convention Credential form that will be mailed to each affiliate union that has paid their per capita by 31 August 2009. For more information about Convention Credentials please contact our Accounting Department.
