Minimum Wage Petitioning at the PNE

Date: Sunday August 26, 2007 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

This Sunday, August 26th, the B.C. Federation of Labour’s Campaign to win a wage increase for BC’s lowest paid workers will be visiting the Fair at the PNE.

With the help of community partners and dozens of enthusiastic volunteers, the Federation has continued to have a presence at major cultural events throughout the summer and has received fantastic support for a $10 minimum wage.  Combined with the online petition the Campaign has collected over 22,000 signatures and the number is rising daily.

Please join us at the Fair to gather more petition signatures.  We will thank our volunteers with gate/ride combo passes.  Please contact Sharon Barbour at the Federation at 604-430-1421 for more information about volunteering and to confirm your participation.
