25th Annual Miners' Memorial Weekend

Miners Memorial Weekend is an annual event presented by the Cumberland and District Historical Society on Vancouver Island.
Celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2010, the event commemorates the miners who worked and lost their lives in the mines in Cumberland and in other workplaces throughout BC, Canada, and the world. Miners Memorial Weekend is a celebration of workers and their families and a call for a renewed commitment for safe and healthy workplaces; justice and equity; and bread and roses for all workers.
